In this series, we chat to our talented team to talk about their roles, their passions and why they love working at LivePreso. Introducing Ryan Luxmoore, our Partner Manager based in Melbourne.
How did you get into a career in tech?
Following the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Networking Computing — a jack of all trades, master of none — I looked for an opportunity to get into the industry in order to get hands on experience. I started my career at a small Melbourne agency and immediately fell in love with the fast evolution of the global tech scene and ~agency culture~. I spent 10 years agency-side as a senior PM and BA before finding a new challenge with LivePreso.
Can you tell us about your role on the Growth team?
As LivePreso’s Partner Manager, I’m responsible for establishing and growing our partner channel, via long-lasting and mutually successful relationships.
Our partners — agencies, consulting/technology solution providers or even internal client resources — work with us to transform their clients’ traditional, static content into something much more engaging and interactive. In a nutshell, I manage the program that onboards implementation partners to the LivePreso platform and methodology, and supports them on an ongoing basis. Working in a high-growth startup environment means I get to wear other hats as well which is exciting.
What do you like most about your job?
We work hard but also have a lot of fun as a team. I’ve never worked somewhere that has absolutely nailed culture hiring until now–we’re all on the same page and love to hang out. Everyone is here to support our clients’ journeys and transform their mindset around customer engagement. It’s great being able to see where my knowledge and skillset contributes directly to success as well.
What advice would you give to people looking to join a high-growth startup?
To be part of a high-growth startup means you’re immersed in an ever-changing environment. This isn’t for everyone but I’ve found it to be incredibly rewarding. Being organised and adaptable are two key traits that allow me to support partners, clients and coworkers alike.
What do you do in your free time?
I’ve spent the last year trying to keep my brain occupied. Planning a wedding through a pandemic has been a constant battle but I’ve added fatherhood and home renovations into the mix so the good has easily outweighed the bad. Luckily I’ve also had a lot of time to play golf at Flinders Golf Course, so the good times keep on rolling in.
What are three things people can expect from starting a job at LivePreso?
Exciting work with global customers
Unwavering support from their coworkers and management
